		     VERSION 0.6
		     19 Sept 1996
---------------------------------------------------------------

WHAT IS ASMODEM?
---------------
asmodem is a hack of asmail that checks a modem lock
file instead of your mail. You just pass it a lock
(like /var/spool/LCK..cua1) using the -m parameter and
        off it goes.

For best results, use the -s and have wharf Swallow it,
or use -w and drag & drop it into your WM Dock!

HOW TO INSTALL IT
-----------------
	1. Unpack the asmodem pakage.
     	2. If needed, edit the Imakefile so that it fits your system.
     	3. Type `xmkmf`.
     	4. Type `make`.

HOW TO USE IT
-------------
o Read the manual page that comes with the asmodem pakage.
o You can use it to dial by setuiding it to root & giving
it your ppp-on scripts as a parameter. It's a massive
	  security hole, but hey! :)

CHANGE LOG
----------
	19 Jul 97 (v0.6)
	- How Wonderful, Rod May <stoke@labyrinth.net.au> mailed me
a diff which adds the major feature that I never got around
to implementing... as of v0.6 the 3 lights on asmodem now
function- they are TR TX & CD! This actually only works
with PPP connections, but hell, what else does anyone use
	  this thing with? <grin>

        16 Jun 97 (v0.5)
	- Ok, so it's been awhile. I added WindowMaker support.
Use the -w command and just drag and drop!

	19 Sep 96
	- Initial Public Release. Based on asmail v3.1. Great
program Per! Hope your not offended by me using your
	  work!
